Extrusion presses MMK

Description

Cold extrusion is a manufacturing technology for formed parts that is often superior to other technologies. When compared to processing methods such as machining or forging, cold extrusion is seen to be superior in terms of material savings, reduction of manufacturing times, and reduced use of energy.
For efficient production of high-volume parts and maintaining high levels of part quality, Schuler offers its cold extrusion MMK presses in capacities from 275 to 1,100 US Tons (2,500 to 10,000 kN).  These MMK presses guarantee long tool service life and high production rates, a ready-to-install part quality, and narrow quality tolerances in the forming of complicated contours.

Advantages

  • Perfected knuckle-joint bottom drive
  • Low center of gravity
  • Low overall height
  • Long service life
  • Dies are protected by a soft closing on the workpiece
  • Achieving tight part tolerances and forming of complicated contours
