Automation and work safety in perfection: Robot integration by Beutler Nova

Until recently, parts always had to be placed manually into Beutler Nova’s C-frame presses. Now the Swiss press manufacturer, a subsidiary of the Schuler Group, has unveiled a new automation concept with which parts can be automatically taken from a stacking unit. This allows largely unmanned operation of the machine.

The customer benefit: cost savings in operating the machine. The robot can also hold complex parts during the press movement – enabling safe and precise part manufacturing.

Flexibility counts

Beutler Nova has developed a mobile cell which can be fitted to the press. Together with the control system and stacking unit, the robot is mounted on a steel plate and fitted with a safety fence. The unit can be mounted individually to different presses – thus offering the customer a high degree of flexibility.
