Changes in the Board of Management of Schuler AG

Göppingen – With effect from April 8, 2005, the Supervisory Board of Schuler AG, Göppingen, has appointed Dr.-Ing. Peter Zeller (45) as its new Chairman of the Board of Management. In addition to his post as Chairman of the Board of Management, he will also take over responsibility for sales within the Forming Systems business segment. Dr. Zeller's previous position was as Chairman of the Management of Nothelfer GmbH, a company of the ThyssenKrupp Group. In addition, the Supervisory Board has appointed Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Beyer (49) to the Board of Management of Schuler AG, also with effect from April 8, 2005. He will be responsible for Operations within the Forming Systems business segment. Mr. Beyer has been a senior manager in the Schuler Group since 2003.
Dr.-Ing. Peter Zeller is taking over from the former Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Horst Dienstbach (63), who will be retiring at the end of the annual general meeting of Schuler AG on April 7, 2005, after more than 30 years with the Schuler Group. At the same time, Mr. Wilfried Jakob (62), member of the Board of Management responsible for the Forming Systems business segment, will also be retiring. He has been a senior manager with the Group since 1991. Dr. Dienstbach and Mr. Jakob will remain involved with the company as consultants.
As part of a further streamlining of the Group’s structure, the Schuler AG Board of Management will reduce in size from four to three members. In this context, Dr.-Ing. Bernd Sent (42), member of the Board of Management and responsible for the Advanced Technologies business segment, will be leaving the company at the end of the financial year on September 30, 2005. Dr. Wolfgang Baur (52) will remain responsible for the Finance and Personnel department.
