Description
In addition to the functional and structural parts required by the automobile industry, hydroforming is also playing an increasingly important role in the manufacture of design and exposed, decorative parts. In such cases, hydroforming offers the possibility of manufacturing complex shapes in one piece, that is, without weld seams. This results in a significant improvement in the overall visual impression at comparable production costs. Examples include roof rails for premium-class vehicle models, among others Audi or DaimlerChrysler.
