Modular transfer system
Description
Second to the mechanical systems themselves, modular transfer is the main component of a compact crossbar press line. Schuler's transfer module consists of two identical drive units, mounted in the press uprights. These are connected to a carbon fiber crossbar by a main lever.
The autonomous units in the uprights are equipped with independent electronic drives, allowing individual adjustment to press speeds and transfer motion curves.
Modular transfer assures reliable, low-vibration part transfer between dies, even for large, complex components. The operator can maximize thetransfer motion for each station according to the shape of the part.
Advantages
- Freely programmable motion curves
- Seven-axis part orientation
- Manufacturing of a very broad part spectrum
- Component transfer without intermediate station
- 15% less floor space required than conventional presses
- Permits simpler die designs
