Crossbar feeder – high speeds for press lines
Description
The innovative, automated Schuler crossbar feeder greatly improves line and process efficiency for mechanical presses. It offers seven degrees of motion, substantially improving productivity.
Components are transported from the die station without intermediate stations, and can be repositioned as required. The crossbar feeder moves along a longitudinal rail mounted to the frames of the press uprights. Its short, compact design assures extreme rigidity.
The first Schuler press lines with crossbar feeders are in high-volume production in China, and additional lines are on order.
Advantages
- 13 spm with seven degrees of part orientation
- No intermediate stations required
- Production rates up to 15 spm (with three axes)
- Only one tooling fixture required per press opening
- Short distance between presses, with free access to press openings
- Fast die changeovers
