Roll forming to shape, as described in the DIN (German Industrial Standards), is a bending process provided by rotating tools. In profiling, coil strips or blanks are formed by rollers into shapes, whereby the forming is continuous.
The advantage of roll forming as compared to other bending processes is that the strip can be shaped in any desired length. Roll forming to shape is subdivided into two operating modes:
Feed forming to shape lines with intermediate stop and lines that run continuously. Schuler offers both types of systems.
