Notching presses

Description

In the operation of the notching press as single machine the loading of the unnotched blank and the removal of the notched lamination take place manually. All the basic models can operated manually as stand-alone units or in cells with various level of automation. These units operate precisely and efficiently at high stroking rates. In the flexible line concept, the notching presses serve as variable modular elements. Customers may choose between notching presses for circular blanks or those that are universal in application.

Notching presses for circular blanks: The main component of the notcher for circular blanks is the indexing that rotates the blank notch for notch for each operation. If a numerical indexing unit is used the number of notches is programmable (drive by servomotor). If notching with a mechanical indexing unit the indexing spindle is driven via cam box drive and gearing. The number of notches is deternined by the change gears. Both versions operate very precisely and achieve the highest rates of part production.

Universal notching press: The programmable Schuler Universal Notching Press opens up nearly unlimited possibilities for the design of large motors and generators. Lamination stacks can be cost-effectively produced with any desired number of notches, any desired overlap, and with spiral or parallel skewing.
