Crossbar feeder – high speed for press lines

Description

The Schuler crossbar feeder is an innovative automation technology that greatly improves line and process efficiency of mechanical press lines.  It offers seven degrees of motion and substantially improves productivity in the stamping plant.  The components are transported from die station to die station without intermediate stations and can be repositioned as required.  The crossbar feeder moves in the transport direction on a longitudinal rail that is mounted to the frames of the press uprights.  The short, compact design makes it extremely rigid.
The first two press lines with crossbar feeder were delivered to China and are already producing parts in high volume.  Additional such lines are on order.

Your advantages

  • 13 spm with 7 degrees of part orientation motion
  • No intermediate stations required
  • Production rate up to 15 spm (with 3 axes)
  • Only one tooling fixture per press opening
  • Short distances between presses and free access to press opening
  • Quick die changeovers
